You can manually add a channel you would like to sync on peertube, with a few recommandations:
- This channel must be either French or English.
- Videos must respect French legislation.
- You cannot post movies / series that you don't own
- Please, try to have a fair use. You can be banned if you're spamming.
- Porn videos are also forbidden
- Videos promoting obvious fake news, complotism, or discriminatory against minorities, LGBTQIA+, sexism, ableism, racism or any fascist theory are completely forbidden
- We keep the right to delete any channel we don't want synced at any time.
- We keep the right to shutdown this server or this download page any time we want
- Be respectful with original owners: always try to contact them before uploading channels, if the original owner ask us to remove this channel or take ownership, we will comply.
- ALWAYS check if the channel already exists on peertube, for example using SepiaSearch.
This is a trial, a pre-alpha thing.
FAQ:
- Is it ethical to post videos from other creators ?
As explained: it's better to ask for permission. But most of the time, these videos won't get more than 5 views I don't think this will damage them in anyway possible. I would say it is not ethical nowadays to post only on youtube: fascism is rising, viewers data is used to find out their political opinion, this is a huge problem.
